Artful details, such as tiny pintucks, ruched (gathered) piping, hand-finished binding, fabric-covered buttons and impeccable topstitching, are creatively combined with classic styling and recognized as the signature features of the Children's Couture line. Every dress, ensemble, hat and handbag is a masterpiece of design, detail and craftsmanship, and an heirloom to enjoy and pass down from one generation to the next.
Indulge Your Passion for IndividualityChildren's Couture offers a variety of designs and fabrics to select from, ensuring that the majority of the collection remains a limited edition or one-of-a-kind piece. From whimsical fireflies and vintage Scottie dogs, to the elegance of flowers and butterflies, Children's Couture fabrics will appeal to any personality. Every 10-12 weeks, several fabric selections may change as new patterns and colors catch the artist's eye and are transformed into a dress of distinction and that essential accessory piece. Fabric samples are available on request and custom orders are welcome.

Women, and men alike, are always amazed at the fine details, charming fabric combinations, distinctive styling and flawless handwork Mary-Alice skillfully blends into each and every Children's Couture piece. However, she is never too busy to answer questions regarding her work. The most frequently asked questions pertain to her signature details, rarely seen in today's apparel.
Pintucks: Tucks as wide as a pin, stitched very straight and very close together, or in groups.
Ruched Piping: Fabric that is wrapped around a cord, gathered and inserted into a seam, creating a tiny, solid ruffle along a finished edge or seamline.
Contrast Binding: A narrow strip of fabric used to finish a raw edge, such as a neckline, sleeve or hemline, often in a contrasting color and in combination with the ruched piping detail.
